As I grow in my holistic health practice I try to use many different modalities to asist my clients in meeting their shealth and wellness needs. While in massage schools years ago I came across the concept of color therapy and how it is incorporated in different medical and alternative health care practices. Colors surround us everyday.
By being aware of the different shades of colors in the clothes we wear, the food s we eat and the the way we decorate our homes and businesses we can learn how to get the maximum benefit that these colors provide to create healing vibrations. The use of color as an aid in healing dates back to the ancient civilization of Kemet (Egypt). It was said that their system was highly advanced and gave excellent results. Stanley Burroughs wrote in his book: Healing for the Age of Enlightenment that " All created things have colors, tones, and forms of their own. Every created color tone, and the thought associated with it, becomes a living thing to torture man or exalt him according to his use or abuse of the natural laws." Have you ever noticed that medications often contain different colors? things to make you go hmmmm?
Each of the different colors have a different effect on the human body. But Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue, Purple and Magenta. Each of these colors have different healing properties, There are many conditions that the use of color can assist in healing to include migraines, eczema, asthma, tiredness, lethargy, memory loss, high/low blood pressure and even insomnia. Yes our bodies respond to the energetic vibrations that the food's color has. The vital force of the food is stored in it's color. You may have also realized by reading that list that certain colors evoked certain emotions for you. Create your own healing practices by being more aware of the colors that you wear, eat and decorate with. This will allow you to discover a safe and economical way to help you maintain and balance your physical and mental well being, but not just for you but for your friends and family and pets too!
