About Me

Let me introduce myself…

My name is LaDawn Frasier, but I also go by my ancient Egyptian spiritual name Khetnu Nefer, which means "As I serve God, I achieve success."

I really didn't plan on becoming a what people consider a "healer." But as a little girl I always felt very empathic and intuitive to the needs of others. This developed even further when I worked as a human resources clerk in the U.S. Army. I spent 8 years helping fellow soldiers and their families with various issues from awards to legal actions.

As I was transitioning out of the Army, I had an epiphany that I was supposed to be doing massage therapy. I mean literally a voice inside of me said that I was supposed to be doing massage. That very day I signed up for massage school and the healer in me was set free. I’ve been a passionate massage therapist since 2005!

Through my early years as a massage therapist, my clients would ask me various health and wellness questions and I was always surprised that I knew the answers! A lot of the things that they asked me about, I had actually experienced first hand as I was always constantly working on ensuring that I was in awesome health.

I lost my father in October 2000 to a massive heart attack at the young age of 52 and that had a profound effect on my life as well. Especially as the way I viewed health, more specifically, mine. Ironically,I was diagnosed with womb issues in 1997, something that would later escalate to the beginning stages of Uterine cancer in 2010.

The doctors were adamant about me having a hysterectomy, since cancer especially uterine cancer is such a killer among African American Women. But I relented and I dove head first into my healing practices. I enlisted the help of a local acupuncturist, changed my diet, became certified in teaching yoga, immersed myself in meditation techniques and sought out the companionship of my awesome sister friends to help me navigate the ordeal I was going through with my womb.

As of today I am cancer free and I plan to remain that way. I am grateful for the knowledge I received during my training as a certified Holistic Health Practitioner with the American College Of Health Sciences (formerly known as The Australasian College of Health Sciences). It literally saved my life!

I've been a licensed massage therapist in SC and Florida and I've worked in various spas and chiropractic clinics as well as worked on clients in my private business. Massage is truly a passion of mine and I have enjoyed the thousands of clients I have worked on throughout the years. I would say that my touch is very intergrative and I weave various modalities such as Deep Tissue, Reiki, Swedish, to Myofacisal release among others to help my clients become relaxed and pain free.

In 2007, I discovered and fell in love with Kemetic Yoga (Thef Neteru ) while I lived in South Florida. In 2009, I became certified to teach this wonderful healing system and now I teach classes to groups and one-on-one sessions. The system I am trained in was developed by Dr. Muata Ashby, a well noted independent researcher and practitioner of Egyptian, Indian and Chinese Yoga.

Ever expanding myself, in 2012 I became certified birth doula and a certified infant massage instructor. I look forward to assisting future and new parents with their birthing needs and I will be offering my own doula training program in the near future!

In 2014, I became certified in Clarie Marie Miller's fertility massage system. I knew that this would be a powerful tool in assisting women who are currently trying to conceive or possibly dealing with various womb dis-ease such as heavy menstrual cycles, PCOS ( like me), fibroids and etc. It is my goal to help women to learn their womb's story and to heal from the inside out. I know firsthand what it feels like to feel broken or less than a women because of the inability to conceive due to various issues.

In 2016, I became a certified womb sauna practitioner and I started offering vaginal (yoni steams) to my practice and I watched how it revolutionized women’s emotional, physical and spiritual health. I have even featured this service at an annual women’s retreat in SC for over 6 years. Since then, I’ve moved to DC from SC and I’ve become a Reiki Master, certified crystal healer, a certified auricular therapy practitioner, certified sound therapy practitioner and I’m working on a few more certifications as well!

Due to my own personal health challenges, I started to focus my practice on helping women like myself overcome their dis-ease and live and led a healthy ,well balanced life. I show women that they can take back control of their health and their bodies naturally. I am now a community herbalist with a line of herbal teas and other products and the founder of the Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering, an annual herbal conference for Black and Indigenous herbalists that takes place in my home state of SC.

I passionately believe that ALL WOMEN should be willingly active in achieving and/or maintaining their health and wellness, and I am committed to providing women with quality services, products and information to help them be healthy, happy and whole. I look forward to working with you and assisting you in obtaining and maintaining A Soulful Life!
